Class requirements

  • Puppies must have first two sets of Parvo and Distemper Vaccinations to attend classes. 

    We also highly recommend the bordetella vaccination. 

    Please bring proof of vaccination with you to the first class.

  • Puppy Kindergarten:

    This is a 7 week course for puppies from 10 weeks to 5 months.
    You will learn how to teach your puppy to:

    ·come when called

    ·walk nicely on a leash

    ·sit stay

    ·lie down

    ·leave it

    ·take it

    .drop it

    ·greet people politely

    Puppies will interact with each other to help them grow up able to relate to other dogs in a friendly manner. We will also help with potty training information and understanding proper communication with your puppy.

  • Graduate Puppy:

    Prerequisite Puppy Kindergarten

    This is a 6 week course for puppies under a year old that have completed puppy kindergarten. We continue to develop a good working relationship with our puppies, we advance previously taught behaviors and begin some distance and off-leash work. Socialization continues to be a vital part of training.
    This course will prepare you to take the Canine Good Citizen Exam. 


Beginner Pet Obedience:


This is a 6 week course for dogs over 5 months of age who have had no previous training. The curriculum is similar to that of Puppy Kindergarten, but geared toward the older dogs. Emphasis will be on the application of training to daily life and on strengthening your relationship with your dog.

  • Continuing Education:
     Prerequisite Beginner Pet

    Training your dog is always an ongoing process. This course follows our beginner course, advancing previously taught behaviors and beginning more advanced behaviors. This course will prepare you to take the Canine Good Citizen Exam.

  • Canine Good Neighbour
    Program Evaluation:

    A 12-step test, that when completed successfully, will ensure that one of our most favoured companions, the dog, is accepted as a valued member of our communities right across the country. Canine Good Neighbours' can be counted on to present good manners at home, in public places and in the presence of other dogs.

    Private Instruction:

    One on one instruction is a great option for a dog that is highly reactive to other dogs, or if the dog handler team needs a more personalized approach to training.
